Han River Trip Toolkit
35 Korea-only travel calculators
NOT ANOTHER SEO TRAVEL BLOG

Korea travel tools built around local logic, not guide-book filler.

Most Korea guides tell you where to go. This toolkit tells you which card saves you ₩600 on a transfer, when to take KTX vs SRT, why your 1++ grade hanwoo at a tourist BBQ is probably 1+, and how to read a jjimjilbang price board without getting upsold. 35 tools, each one a problem a generic blog post ignores.

What generic Korea guides skip

T-money vs WOWPASS vs Cashbee
A generic list says "get a T-money." We compare refund rules, age-based fees, WOWPASS's 0.5% FX margin vs ATM 3%, and which one loses money for a 3-day vs 14-day trip.
KTX vs SRT vs ITX-Saemaeul
Nobody tells you that SRT is 10-15% cheaper from Suseo but KTX runs twice as often. We compute total door-to-door time and price for 12 routes.
Korean BBQ grade decoder
A tourist menu says "한우 1++". We cross-check marbling, farm origin, and price-per-100g to flag likely-oversold product (a recurring scam in Itaewon/Myeongdong).

About this toolkit

Han River Trip Toolkit is a one-person site of 35+ Korea-only travel calculators, built because the most popular Korea guides give the same five answers to ten different questions. Every tool here solves one specific decision a traveler actually has to make on the ground: which card to tap at the turnstile, how much hanwoo per 100g is realistic, why the taxi driver handed you a paper receipt instead of taking the card, what time the last train runs from Hongdae.

Scope. This site is for travelers planning or currently inside Korea. It does not cover visa policy (governments change too often), long-stay housing, or domestic air routes not used by short-term visitors. Prices are 2026 reference figures and clearly labeled — anything that varies by season, FX, or vendor is presented as a range with a verification link.

Limitations. Tools give a recommendation, not a promise. Korean merchant pricing, taxi surge, FX rates, festival dates, and cherry blossom peak all change week-to-week. Every tool lists its verification source — typically an official portal (visitkorea.or.kr, KORAIL, AREX) — so you can re-check before paying.

Verify before you pay. Korean merchants, taxi drivers, festival operators, and government agencies are the only authoritative source. Always re-confirm with the official link provided in each tool's "Sources" section before committing money or time.
